Store region

What if my phone uses another app-store region?

The link opens, but the store shows something different from what you expected.

People listening to one another over a shared meal.

We read the Malaysian App Store listing, and we have not tested our link on phones set to other regions, so we cannot say how it behaves for you. What we can do is show what Apple and Google say about regions, and give you a safe way to check.

Why might the store look different?

Google Play Help says the apps, games and other content in the store can vary by country or region, and that changing your Google Play country may lose access to some apps2. Apple says some types of content might not be available in a new country or region, and advises redownloading apps on every device after the change1.

So a page can differ from the Malaysian one we describe. This is a store matter, not a fault in you or your phone.

Search the store by the app’s name and read the developer line. The App Store lists the app as provided by Isha Foundation3, and the Malaysian listing links a developer website and a privacy policy on isha.sadhguru.org4.

If the name and the developer match, you have the right listing, whichever link brought you there.

Try this: a safe region check

Do it at home, with a few quiet minutes.

  1. Open your store and look at which country or region your account uses, in the account settings.
  2. Search for the app by name rather than tapping a link.
  3. Compare the developer name with the one above.
  4. Read the description and the privacy section, as in our provider check.
  5. If the app is missing, stop there. Do not change region just to chase one app.

Should I change my store region?

We suggest not doing it for this. Changing region can affect what you can use, as the two help pages above indicate, and it can be hard to undo. If you are moving to a new country for real, follow Apple’s or Google’s own help page for your phone.

A seven-minute meditation is not worth a tangle with your account. The meditation timer and our guide to meditating without an app need no store at all.

What if I am helping a relative abroad?

If your parent’s phone is set to another country, sit with them and search by name together. If the app is missing, do not push. A call and a few quiet breaths together can mean more than an install.

Fitting this into a real day

Phones are often set up by a relative, a shop or a previous owner, so the region may not be what you expect. Check it calmly at home, not at the counter of a phone shop.

If the settings look unfamiliar, leave them alone and ask the person who set the phone up. Meanwhile, sit for two minutes with the breathing pacer, which needs no store and no account.

Where to go next

To read about what our own button does, see what our referral link does. For friend connections, read checking referrer and friend-connection details. Install steps are in the iPhone guide and the Android guide.

If the app does appear for you, Sadhguru’s free seven-minute guided meditation in the Miracle of Mind app is optional, and our Miracle of Mind guides have the rest.

Common questions

Will our link work on a phone set to another region?

We do not know. We read the Malaysian App Store listing and have not tested the link on phones set to other regions. Search for the app by name in your store instead, and check the developer name.

Should I change my store region to get the app?

Not as a quick fix. Apple and Google both warn that changing region can affect what you can use. Read their help pages first, and consider the no-app options on this site before you change anything.

Why does the store show something different from the listing you read?

Stores can vary by country or region, so a page can differ from the Malaysian one we read. Check the developer name and the description match what you expect before installing.

What if the app is not available in my store?

Then you have a clear answer. Skip it, write to the provider if you wish, and use our no-app guide. Nothing on this site depends on the app.
