Copying and printing a plan from your phone
You made a plan on your phone and want it on paper by the fridge.
You have three routes: copy the text into a message, save the page as a PDF, or print straight from the share menu. Pick the one that matches what you have at home.
A paper plan on the fridge is easier to see than one hidden inside a phone.
Why would I want a paper copy?
Paper does not need battery or a signal, and the whole family can see it. It also stops the phone from pulling you into other apps while you read.
For an older relative, a printed page in large letters can feel far friendlier than a small screen.
Try this: three ways from phone to paper
Choose one route.
- Copy: select the text, tap Copy, open a notes app or message, and paste. Send it to someone with a printer.
- Save as PDF: in your browser menu, choose Share or Print, then Save as PDF. Keep the file on your phone.
- Print directly: in the same menu, choose Print and pick a printer, if your phone can find one.
What if I have no printer at home?
Send the PDF to a print shop, library or office by WhatsApp or email. Ask the cost before they print. Prices change, so we leave them out.
A relative’s printer also works. Tell them the page count so they bring paper.
How do I make it easy to read?
Before printing, use the site’s large-text and print options. Then check the preview on your screen before you press Print.
If you want to read the plan on screen while you work through it, keeping instructions visible can help.
What about private notes?
If your plan has notes you typed, they may print too. Read the page first and remove anything personal.
Our guides on saving a resource without saving private notes and using a personal planner on a shared device cover this in more detail.
Fitting it into a real day
Do it on a weekend morning, or while the rice cooks. Tape it where you already look, such as the fridge or the side of the desk.
If a plan ever feels like it is adding pressure rather than relief, it is fine to put it down, and to speak with a doctor or counsellor. Our support page lists where to start.
Where to go next
If you would rather reach a page from paper, using a QR code without entering personal information shows a safe way. Everything here sits in our accessibility and digital confidence guides.
When your plan is up, Sadhguru’s free 7-minute guided meditation in the Miracle of Mind app is an optional first line you could write on it.
Common questions
How do I copy text from a plan on my phone?
Press and hold a word until the highlight appears, drag the handles to select the text, then tap Copy. Open your notes or messages, press and hold in the empty space, and tap Paste. Phones differ slightly, but this pattern is common.
How can I print if I have no printer?
Save the page as a PDF and take it to a print shop or a library. Copy shops accept a file by WhatsApp or a memory stick. You can also copy the text into a message to a relative who has a printer.
Will my private notes print too?
They may. Before printing, read the page for anything personal that you do not want a shop or a family member to see. You can delete or shorten those lines first, or print only the part you need.
Can I make the print larger?
Yes. Use the site's large-text and print options before printing, or zoom in on your phone and choose a larger paper size in the print settings. Larger print is easier to read on the fridge.
